Monarchidae is a family in the order Passeriformes.
The two Boatbills have been placed in this family but are now in their own family Machaerirhynchidae. Also the genus Elminia has been moved to the family Stenostiridae, the genus Erythrocercus to the family Cettiidae and the genus Lamprolia to the family Rhipiduridae.
The two species of the genus Grallina which were placed in its own family Grallinidae are now placed here. Also the Blue-capped Ifrita was moved from the family Eupetidae in this family.
