- Slate-blue upperparts
- White underparts
- Deep chestnut chin and throat
- Broad white tips ( c. 50 % ) to the underside of the tail

Distribution
Fiji (montane forests of Taveuni).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considered conspecific with Chestnut-throated Flycatcher.
Habitat
Moist montanes and lowland forest.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes insects.
