Identification

14-15cm, blue-black and white with a blue eye ring. The males have black chins and the females have white chins.

Distribution

This is an endemic to the Wet Tropics of Queensland, Australia..

Taxonomy

Habitat

Rainforests.

Behaviour

Diet includes insects taken from tree trunks.

The nest is made of roots, vine tendrils, spiders' webs, lichen and twigs and is cup shaped. 2 eggs are laid.
