Genus: Grallina
Description
Mudlarks. Two mostly black-and-white species from Australia and New Guinea. Both share a similar plumage pattern and build their nest mainly with mud.
Taxonomy
Grallina is a genus in the family Monarchidae.
It was formerly placed in its own family, Grallinidae. The placement of this genus has long been debated and it has been placed within the Drongos or suggested to be closely related to the Butcherbirds and Currawongs, Woodswallows or Crows.
