Distribution
Found in Africa from southern Cameroon south to Angola and in the Congo Bassin.
Taxonomy
This species was considered conspecific with Rufous-vented Paradise-Flycatcher in the past.
Subspecies[1]
Two subspecies:
- T. b. batesi from Southern Cameroon to Gabon
- T. b. bannermani in Angola and Democratic Republic of the Congo
