Family: Sylviidae
Description
Old World warblers, Parrotbills.
Taxonomy
Sylviidae is a family in the order Passeriformes.
The Sylviidae here have not much in common with the traditional Sylviidae. Most authorities have distributed many species formerly included in the Sylviidae the families
or other families.
However, Clements has recently merged Paradoxornithidae back into Sylviidae, and The Opus is awaiting clarity on the issue. IOC has a note saying these two are more closely related to each other then either are to any other Babbler family.
