Distribution

Endemic breeder to Cyprus. Winters in north-eastern Egypt and the Near East.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Dry open scrubby areas, hill slopes.

Behaviour

Breeding

It nests in low shrub or gorse; the clutch consists of 3-5 eggs.

Diet

The diet includes berries and insects.
