Family: Macrosphenidae
Description
African Warblers
Taxonomy
Macrosphenidae is a family in the order Passeriformes.
Most of the species in this family were formerly placed in the Old World Warblers (Sylviidae). New genetic research showed that these species don't belong to the Old World Warblers but form a new family, in combination with the Rockrunner.
Genus Graueria were formerly also included in the Sylviidae but is now provisionally moved in a position of "limbo" (incertae sedis) at the end of Macrosphenidae.
