Overview
Very close to Warsaw and with a variety of habitats this park is an ideal destination for visitors to Poland with limited birding time. Much of the park is covered with pine forest but there are also mixed and riverine forest, marshland and scrub-covered patches of abandoned farmland.
With the loss of open habitats the diversity of birds is decreasing and species such as Black Grouse, European Roller and Stone-curlew as well as several raptors no longer breed.
