Overview

Møn is a small island off the south-east corner of Zealand.

Birds

Notable Species

It is famous in Denmark as a migration watchpoint, particularly in spring when birds such as Bluethroat, Common Rosefinch, Turtle Dove and Red-footed Falcon regularly occur, and Lesser Spotted Eagle and Greenish Warbler occasionally. Lesser White-fronted Goose sometimes occurs on passage in small numbers.

In addition there are interesting breeding birds such as Icterine Warbler, Red-backed Shrike and Golden Oriole. Barred Warbler formerly bred, but no longer does so.
