Birds

Notable Species

When discussing notable birds for Balaram Ambaji Wildlife Sanctuary, consider the Greater Flamingo, the State Bird of Gujarat where it's located.

Following that is the Tytler's Leaf Warbler that has been reported as a breeding endemic, but also considered as near-threatened.

Couple this with, according to Avibase[3], over 20 other species considered endemic, 37 species considered globally threatened, and a picture of birding potential for this area becomes obvious.
