Genus: Turdus

Description

Thrushes belonging to the genus Turdus are distributed around the globe, including Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America. The only two members of the Genus present in Australia were introduced (Eurasian Blackbird and Song Thrush).

Taxonomy

Turdus is a genus in the Family Turdidae. Turdus may end up including the genera Cichlherminia, Nesocichla, and Platycichla.
