Identification

- Black head, nape and breast
- Slate grey upperparts
- Orange belly and flanks
- White lower belly to vent
Distribution
Asia: China, Tibet, Pakistan, India, Eastern and Western Himalayas, Bangladesh
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand,
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly regarded conspecific with Grey-backed Thrush.
Habitat
Broadleaf and evergreen forests and forest edges, and secondary growth.
Behaviour
Diet
They mostly forage on the ground for berries, molluscs and insects, but will also glean fruit from trees.
