Identification
23-24 cm.
- Olive-brown plumage, slightly paler on underparts
- Dark-streaked whitish throat
- Pale brownish-yellow bill
- Brown legs
Sexes similar, juveniles undescribed.
Distribution
Endemic to northern Bolivia (Beni and Santa Cruz).
A poorly known restricted-range species with a very small range and a patchy distribution.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Habitat
Found in seasonally flooded riverine forest, semi-open forest and semi-deciduous woodland. Occurs at 250 to 350 m.
Behaviour
Usually seen in lower levels of forest.
No information about diet or breeding available.
Presumably a sedentary species.
