Genus: Grallaria
Description
Antpittas from South America, Central America and Mexico.
Taxonomy
Grallaria is a genus in the family Grallariidae. It was previously placed in the Formicariidae, but the new Clements update lists the Antpittas as own family and the Opus follows.
In 2010 a new species for this genus has been described from Colombia. Unfortunately two descriptions exist, one naming it Fenwick's Antpitta Grallaria fenwickorum, the other Urrao Antpitta Grallaria urraoensis. The Opus lists it under Urrao Antpitta, which is now the consensus name.
