Genus: Otus

Description

Mostly small owls with at least small ear-tufts.

Taxonomy

Otus is a genus in the family Strigidae.
The species of the genera Megascops and Psiloscops were formerly included in this genus.
Giant Scops Owl is sometimes placed in its own genus Mimizuku.
