Overview
To the west of Cala Morell on Menorca's north coast is Punta de s'Escullar, a barren rocky headland with one of the largest Cory's Shearwater colonies in the Western Mediterranean.

Also to be seen over the sea are smaller numbers of Balearic Shearwater, Yellow-legged Gull and Mediterranean Shagand the cliffs have Pallid Swift, Eurasian Crag Martin and Blue Rock Thrush.
In the scrub and open stony areas there are Spectacled Warbler, Thekla Lark and Tawny Pipit.
The Cory's Shearwaters are best seen in late afternoon when the adults return to their burrows.

From Ciutadella take the Cala Morell road and once there turn left past the cave-dwellings and left again down the street signposted "Lira". Park and head west across some stony ground to a stile from which a footpath leads to the point.
Cala Morell is within easy reach of all the tourist areas on Menorca.
