Genus: Bangsia
Description
A group of Tanagers from Central America and the Andean areas of Colombia and Ecuador.
Taxonomy
Bangsia is a genus in the family Thraupidae. SACC1 has a reference that all members of this genus were placed in genus Buthraupis by Storer in 1970, but that most later authors have kept the genus Bangsia intact. However, one species was moved here from Chlorospingus in 2021.
