Distribution
South America: found in Costa Rica and Panama.
Taxonomy
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- B. a. caeruleigularis:
- Caribbean slope of Costa Rica
- B. a. arcaei:
- Humid lowlands of western Panama
Habitat
Moist foothill and pre-montane forests, and forest border shrubbery.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of arthropods and a variety of small fruits.
Breeding
Their covered nest is placed 10-12 m above the ground.
