Description
Small insectivorous birds of southern Asia and Australasia. All are called Fantails except for the Willie Wagtail of Australia. They are not related to the true wagtails, which are in the family Motacillidae.
Taxonomy
Rhipidura is a genus in the family Rhipiduridae.
Yellow-bellied Fantail was formerly included in this genus but recent resarch showed it to be a Fairy Flycatcher and not a Fantail.
