- R. h. hyperythra:
- Aru Islands (New Guinea)
- R. h. muelleri:
- Yapen Island and western New Guinea (Astrolabe Bay to Lake Kutubu)
- R. h. castaneothorax:
- South-eastern New Guinea (Saruwaged Mountains to Angabunga River)
Habitat
Moist montanes and lowland forests.
Behaviour
The diet includes insects and invertebrates.
