Distribution
South America: found in Colombia, northern Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Amazonian Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and down to central Argentina.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and swamps.
