Distribution

Central and South America
Central America: found in Costa Rica and Panama
South America: Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Amazonian Brazil

Rare and little-known.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Lowland rainforest at 100-200m, usually near rivers.
