Genus: Crocias
Description
This genus when activa contained two species of Crocias from SE Asia. Both are remarkably similar and both have a remarkably small range, one in Vietnam, the other on Java. They look similar to the Sibias, but have shorter, stouter and stronger bills.
Taxonomy
Crocias is a genus in the Family Leiothrichidae.
It was formerly included in the family Timaliidae.
The species formerly included here is now placed in genus Laniellus because it was discovered this was an older, available name which therefore replaced Crocias.
