Malagasy Warblers. All members of this family are endemic to Madagascar.
Taxonomy
Bernieridae is a family in the order Passeriformes.
The creation of this family was proposed as early as 1934 but due to lack of research and their similarity to other families the traditional placement of these birds was maintained. This placement was:
- Formerly in Pycnonotidae (Bulbuls)
- Bernieria and Xanthomixis
- Formerly in Timaliidae (Old World Babblers)
- Hartertula, Crossleyia and Oxylabes
- Formerly in Sylviidae (Old World Warblers)
