Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

  • L. a. cinereiceps - SE Honduras and Caribbean slope of Nicaragua to nw Panama
  • L. a. albigularis - Pacific lowlands of Costa Rica to w Colombia and w Ecuador
  • L. a. cerdaleus - E Colombia (Córdoba to Santa Marta)

Habitat

Wetlands and swamps.
