Identification
27-28cm. Thick yellow bill, mostly dark brown head and breast with whitish streaks. Bronzed yellow orbital skin, whitish cheeks to throat and streaks in upper mantle. Juvenile similar to adults.

Breeds Sept-May. Nests in excavated tree holes 3-12 m above the ground. Lays 2-4 white eggs.
