Notable Species
Within easy reach of Puerto Pollensa, this rocky promontory in the far north-east of Mallorca is excellent for seawatching and famous for the breeding colony of Eleonora's Falcon.
Blue Rock Thrush and Rock Dove also breed on the cliffs as well as Northern Raven, Eurasian Crag Martin and Pallid Swift. The rare Mediterranean race of the Shag breed at the base of the cliffs and offshore there are Cory's Shearwater and Balearic Shearwater, often also Audouin's Gull.
During passage periods Black Kite and European Honey Buzzard pass over the point in good numbers. Stonechat and Whinchat are found on the point and migrants such as Wheatear are also attracted to the point, Balearic Warbler is common in the scrub.
