Family: Grallinidae
Description
Mudlarks. Two mostly black-and-white species from Australia and New Guinea. Both share a similar plumage pattern and build their nest mainly with mud.
Taxonomy
Grallinidae would be a monotypic family in the Order Passeriformes.
The two species of the genus Grallina are now placed in the family Monarchidae.
