Identification
14 cm
Upperside brown becoming more warm-cinnamon colored towards the back of the bird. Tail is narrowly banded in black. Folded wing like back but with spots on primaries producing a banded impression. Underside whitish washed with buff and brown along flanks, and with blackish barring on undertail coverts. Face has a prominent supercilium above a blackish-brown eye-line and with dark greyish blotching below the eye-line. Eye is brown to chestnut, bill two-toned with darker grey upper and paler lower mandible, legs pale grey to flesh.

Distribution
Found around the Cauca River in Antioquia, Colombia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species1. Described as recently as 2012.
Habitat
Dry Forest at 250-850 m asl.
Behaviour
Food mainly consists of smaller invertebrates.
Vocalizations
song is usually given as a duet of the male and female.
