Identification
15 cm. Olive-brown crown to upper back. Rest of upperparts rufous-brown. Prominent white superciliary. Black barred tail and wings. Black-and-white streaked sides of head. White underparts with pale greyish-brown flanks and sides.
Distribution
West slope of the East Andes in Santander, Colombia.
Taxonomy
Was formerly placed in genus Thryothorus like all other species of the genus Thryophilus.
Habitat
Acacia scrub in a semi-arid valley.
