Large, re-curved pale horn bill
Male: slate grey
Female: brown
Distribution
South America: found in northern Colombia and north-western Venezuela (Sierra de Perijá).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
The Rondonia Bushbird has been split from Recurve-billed Bushbird.

Habitat
It inhabits well-developed secondary growth at 150-1750 m. Bamboo and cloud montane forest.
Behaviour
Diet
It is insectivorous. Reported to have followed ant swarms.
Restall has a drawing of a bird plowing up the bark of a dead branch using its bill.
