- Brownish face
- Dark brown lores
- Whitish underparts
Distribution
South Peru (Cordillera Vilcabamba in Cuzco)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Formerly considered conspecific with Ayacucho Thistletail.
Habitat
Elfin forest and high-altitude grassland.
Behaviour
Diet
There is very little information available; they probably glean arthropods from leaves and branches. They feed in the understorey, either alone or in pairs.
Breeding
There is no information on breeding behaviour.
