Identification
Both sexes are mostly black with white spot on central back and red eyes. Female additionally has many small white spots on underside and wing coverts.
Distribution
Pacific slope of Colombia and northern Ecuador.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Myrmeciza by Gill and Donsker.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
Behaviour
Pumps tail up and down.
