This is a monotypic species[1].

Behaviour

Breeding

The nest is a mound of sticks. The 2-3 large white eggs are incubated for 30 days. The chicks eat regurgitated and partially digested fish from the parent's pouch.

Diet

Their diet includes fish and amphibians.
