Cyornis nicobaricus

Identification

  • Longish, hooked bill with yellowish lower mandible
  • Pinkish legs
  • Dark brown above with buffy eye-ring
  • Whitish below with mottled fulvous breast-band

Distribution

Endemic to the southern Nicobar Islands, India.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considered conspecific with Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher and both were formerly placed in genus Rhinomyias.
