Overview

The way to Neu- Schollene is a change of meadows near river Havel and forests ( mostly monocuture ). This area is quite empty. Just the opposite is the street from Neu - Schollene to Schollene. Schollene is at the lake Schollene. There is only viewpoints near the lake, no direct access.

Notable Species

With bino You can see Mute Swan, Greylag Goose, Great Crested Grebe and also Osprey . For more birds Spectiv is recommended. Also very interesting place, follow to north of Schollene to next village ( 3 km ). After You left this village there is a way ( cycling way R3 ) on the meadows near river Havel. This way leads to Gartz. Not far are other interesting bird watching spots like river floodplains Elbtalaue and Lake Guelper See ( also called Central European petrol station of migration birds ).

Start point is also Rathenow ( located west of Berlin, on the train Berlin - Hannover ). Follow Rathenow West to Goettlin. From this village leads a way near river Havel.
