Distribution
Asia: eastern Sumatra, Java and Bali (it is unclear whether the population in Sumatra is the result of an introduction).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This species, Indian Pied Starling and Siamese Pied Starling were formerly combined into one species known as Asian Pied Starling.

Behaviour
Breeds from September to October in Java.
