Distribution

Asia: found from Kashmir to south-eastern Tibet, Myanmar and western China

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Placed in family Turdidae by some authorities[2].

Habitat

Alpine meadows.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of insects and berries, also autumnal fruit from orchards.
