North-western South America: found from south-eastern Colombia (Putumayo) to eastern Ecuador and north-eastern Peru (Loreto)

This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Found in the undergrowth of humid lowland forest and forest edges.
Behaviour
Diet
They catch flying insects during short flights. Often seen in pairs.
