- Buff underparts barred brown
- Black, brown-streaked crown and nape
- Narrow tawny collar on hindneck
- Grey-brown, buff spotted wing-coverts
- White patch each side of lower throat
Distribution
South America: known from a 1917 specimen from French Guiana.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
It was formerly included in the genus Caprimulgus.
Habitat
Forest.
