Genus: Conostoma
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Great Parrotbill.
It differs from other parrotbills by its size and its less graduated tail. The bill is longer than it is high and it's proportionaly much longer than of other parrotbills.
Taxonomy
Conostoma is a genus in the Family Paradoxornithidae.
It was formerly placed in the Family Sylviidae.
As the genus name is also used for an insect some authorities propose a new genus name, Enendrozdovoma. However, this is not yet accepted by any of the World Checklists.
