Genus: Compsothraupis
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Scarlet-throated Tanager from Brazil.
Taxonomy
Compsothraupis is a monotypic genus in the family Thraupidae.
Sometimes included in genus Sericossypha but has exposed (not covered) nostrils.
