Distribution

Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, where found in the north (Vogelkop to Sepik River)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Campbell's Fairywren is sometimes regarded as a subspecies of this species.[1], [2].
Formerly placed in genus Malurus.

Habitat

Moist lowland forest.
