Distribution
South America: found locally in Andes of eastern Colombia to western Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and western Bolivia
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This taxon is considered a subspecies of White-winged Potoo by some authors[2]
Habitat
Moist montane forest clearings at heights around 1800–2800 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists almost entirely of insects, including beetles.
