Distribution
Asia: found in southern Turkestan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, northern Afghanistan, China, Tibet, northern Pakistan, and north-western India and Western Himalayas.

This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Boreal shrubland and forests, temperate grassland.
