Passer pyrrhonotus

Identification

Slightly smaller than House Sparrow. The male can be identified by the grey ear coverts and the crescent chestnut around the ear coverts.

Distribution

Iran, Pakistan and Kathiawar.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Tall grass and scrub.
