Distribution
South America: an endemic found on the northern slope of Central Cordillera of Andes of Colombia.

This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Cloud Forest, observed 1400-1900 m asl.
Vocalizations
Sounds include a number of vocalizations but the male also makes a whirring sound from the wings during display flights.
Behaviour
Feeds on mainly fruit and sometimes invertebrates.
