From Mexico to South America.
Taxonomy
Saucerottia is a genus recognised by Clements (2007)1 in the family Trochilidae. Opus follows Sibley & Monroe (1996)2 and Dickinson (2003)3 and places these species in genus Amazilia. If recognized, Saucerottia would include Steely-vented Hummingbird, Indigo-capped Hummingbird, Alfaros Hummingbird, Snowy-bellied Hummingbird, Blue-tailed Hummingbird, Berylline Hummingbird, Green-bellied Hummingbird, Copper-tailed Hummingbird, and Copper-rumped Hummingbird.
