Description

Hornbills from Asia.

  • A tall, wrinkled casque
  • A long white tail with either a black base or a black tip
  • Females are all black
  • Mainly frugivorous
  • Wander large distances in search of fruiting trees

Taxonomy

Aceros is a genus in the family Bucerotidae.
White-crowned Hornbill and the species of the genus Rhyticeros are sometimes included in this genus.
